The Mondphase I represents a milestone in the journey of Felipe Pikullik. It is our first timepiece to translate a celestial complication into our distinct manufacture language, merging mechanical precision with a profound fascination for the cosmos. Guided by the principle of restraint, every element exists in a deliberate balance. This clarity of design and technical execution was recognized in 2023, when the Mondphase I was honored as a finalist at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).

The dial is crafted from frosted brass and treated with black rhodium plating, creating a soft matte surface that quietly absorbs light. The hands follow the same philosophy, with a half frosted and half polished surface that shifts subtly as they move. At 9 o’clock, the three dimensional moon rises from the dial, accompanied by partially exposed gearing that reveals the mechanics beneath. Together, these elements create a sense of depth, where time is not only indicated, but slowly revealed.

At the heart of the watch lies the three dimensional moonphase, the first complication developed within the atelier. Each moon is crafted by hand and shaped from solid material, giving it a quiet physical presence that feels almost sculptural. The surface is carefully worked to create its distinctive texture, with each indentation formed through a deliberate process that captures the irregularity of a natural lunar landscape. Unlike a traditional flat display, the moon exists as an object within the movement, bringing a sense of depth and realism to the passage of time.

On the wrist, the Mondphase I reveals its true character. It does not seek attention, but invites a closer look. The proportions, the materials and the restrained use of detail come together to create a watch that feels calm and considered, yet full of depth. It is not only a complication, but a reflection of a way of thinking about time, quiet, precise and deeply connected to the mechanics within.
